Turbo enhances the both capacity and speeds of earlier generations while
delivering the same technology and reliability. The Sony TAIT1-40C AIT Turbo
has features similar to the Sony TAITE-40N AIT
Turbo with only one difference, the Sony TAIT1-40C has a 64KBit MIC which
enables a quick search to locate the desired files on a tape cartridge. Sony
TAIT1-40C has an uncompressed capacity of 40 GBand 104 GB of compressed capacity.
Other notable features of the Sony TAIT1-40C are a data transfer rate of 6 MB/s,
AME (Advanced Metal Evaporated) tape technology and a DLC (Diamond Like Coating)
